In 1995, the Beaumont Preservation Awards were created by Beaumont Main Street, the Beaumont Heritage Society, the Beaumont Historic Landmark Commission and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations.

The Federation has disbanded, but the Jefferson County Historical Commission is now a partner in this effort to recognize individuals, groups or projects demonstrating a significant commitment or contribution to historical preservation in Beaumont.

Scope:  These awards are intended to recognize a broad array of preservation efforts including the preservation of historical buildings, historical sites, historical resources and local history.

Eligibility:
*Eligible individuals, groups or projects must live or be located in the City of Beaumont.
*Projects must have been completed within the last two years of submission date.
*The nomination of an individual or group may include work completed over many years.

Award Presentation:  An award presentation is held in May during Preservation Month.
